Acknowledging policies

The /me/policies page lists every published trust policy that requires acknowledgement, alongside whether you’ve acknowledged it. It’s the staff-facing surface of policy management.

What you see

For each acknowledgement-required policy:

Title and short description.
Version — the version you’re being asked to acknowledge. If the policy is revised, you’ll be asked again.
Acknowledge button if you haven’t yet, or a ✓ Acknowledged on badge if you have.

What acknowledging means

Clicking Acknowledge records a row in the policy acknowledgement table with your user ID, the policy version ID, and a timestamp. The trust can produce a report at any time showing who has and hasn’t acknowledged a given policy version.

That’s all it is — it’s not a statement of agreement, not a contract. It’s a confirmation that you’ve read the policy. Read the policy first; the button is at the bottom of the policy text deliberately.

When new policies appear

Whenever the policy team publishes a new acknowledgement-required policy or a new version of an existing one, the page shows the new row at the top. There’s a banner on the portal home if you have outstanding acknowledgements.

Gotchas

Acknowledgement is per-version. Acknowledging v1 doesn’t carry forward to v2; you’ll see the new version pop up the next time you visit.
You can’t un-acknowledge. If you clicked by mistake, contact the policy team for an audit-trail entry.
The page only shows policies that require acknowledgement. Reference-only policies (e.g. trust constitution) are at /public/policies and don’t appear here.
