Connecting to Wi-Fi

Staff and trust devices

1. Open your device’s Wi-Fi settings and choose your school’s staff network. If you’re not sure which one that is, ask a colleague or the IT team — the name is usually displayed in staff areas.
2. Sign in with your school email address and your network password (the one you use to log on to a school computer).
3. Accept any certificate prompt the first time you connect.

Once connected, your device should reconnect automatically in future.

Personal devices and guests

Many sites offer a separate guest network for personal phones and visitors. It’s kept apart from school systems, so you won’t be able to reach internal services like printers or shared drives from it.

If it won’t connect

• Double-check you’re using your full email address and your current network password.
• “Forget” the network on your device, then reconnect from scratch.
• If a colleague next to you is connected and you still can’t get on, raise a request with your device type and where you are in the building — that helps the team work out whether it’s the device or the area.
